Jala Spa & Wellness hosts visiting holistic healing expert Azusa Segawa for a specialist wellness residency

 High in Oman’s Green Mountain, where fresh air and dramatic views create a natural sanctuary, guests will soon have the chance to experience one of Eastern wellness’s most renowned therapies under the guidance of an internationally recognised specialist. From 16 November to 15 December 2025, Jala Spa & Wellness at Hotel Indigo Jabal Akhdar Resort & Spa welcomes Azusa Segawa to its Visiting Practitioners Programme, offering Chi Nei Tsang - an ancient Taoist abdominal therapy designed to improve digestion, release tension, and restore the body’s natural energy flow.

Chi Nei Tsang, which translates to “working the energy of the internal organs,” focuses on the abdomen - often called the body’s “second brain” - where stress, toxins, and emotional strain can build up. Through gentle, precise massage techniques, this therapy supports gut health, encourages detoxification, and helps release stored emotions, leaving guests feeling lighter, more energised, and in balance.

Alongside Chi Nei Tsang, Azusa will also offer:

  • Reiki, a Japanese energy-healing practice that promotes relaxation and balance; and

  • Therapeutic Thai Bodywork, an oil-free massage that combines Thai and shiatsu techniques to release muscle tension and revive circulation.

Her signature treatments include:

Chi Nei Tsang – Abdominal Detox Therapy (60 mins OMR 70++ / 90 mins OMR 90++)

  • A targeted abdominal massage that relieves bloating, constipation, and tension, while promoting detoxification, improved circulation, and emotional release.

Therapeutic Thai Bodywork (90 mins OMR 90++ / 120 mins OMR 115++)

  • A dynamic, oil-free bodywork that blends Northern Thai and shiatsu techniques to ease stiffness, improve flexibility, and re-energise the body.

Usui Reiki Energy Healing (60 mins OMR 70++)

  • A soothing, hands-on Japanese technique that channels life-force energy to reduce stress, balance the body’s systems, and support self-healing.

Set 2,000 metres above sea level, Jala Spa & Wellness provides the ideal backdrop for these transformative experiences. With tranquil interiors inspired by Omani heritage and panoramic views of the mountains, guests can expect a wellness journey that nurtures both body and mind.

The Visiting Practitioners Programme at Jala Spa & Wellness is an ongoing initiative that brings exceptional healers and therapists from around the world to the heart of Oman’s Green Mountain. Each residency offers guests rare access to specialised treatments and techniques not widely available in the region, creating a constantly evolving menu of unique, restorative experiences.
